WWCI & Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a field within computer science that focuses on the development of smart machines or technologies capable of performing tasks that normally require a human brain. It is used to enable machines / computer systems to apply intelligence and learning to achieve specific goals, using an ability to adapt without human intervention.

AI tools are becoming more prevalent and increasingly part of everyday life. They have the potential to automate tasks, improve decision-making, and provide valuable insights into business operations. We are also aware that there are understandable questions about how AI is being used in relation to reliability, security, and bias.

AI at The World Wide Check-In

Whilst we’re keen at The World Wide Check-In to follow and understand how AI is developing, we will only consider its use where it makes sense for our community, participants, and team.

That means:

  • We are a true platform–agnostic network; we develop and maintain our own infrastructure.
  • Where we engage with third-party services to support our operations, we undertake due diligence to understand how they use AI.
  • We will only employ AI where and when it helps us to work smarter in our day-to-day activities.
  • Any AI technologies we use or create will protect and respect the privacy and security of personal data of our community and team.
  • We will always endeavour to make AI-related decisions that are transparent, fair, and free of any harmful bias.

Humans will always be at the heart of our work and success at The World Wide Check-In; AI will only be used where it makes sense to help us be more effective, responsive, and insightful.
