World Wide Check-In • BrandMeister Talkgroup 91
The Worldwide Check-In is a structured, long-running net held every Saturday at 16:00 UTC on BrandMeister Talkgroup 91. The purpose of the net is to demonstrate the worldwide communication capability of DMR, with consideration for emergency and public service use.
Net Control Operators (NCOs) conduct the net using the established Worldwide Check-In operating script. The net proceeds region by region across the globe and is managed as a controlled net, with all traffic handled through Net Control.
Being a Net Controller does not need to be a solo role. Two or more operators may split the workload. Familiarity with DMR operation, controlled net procedures, and clear on-air communication is expected.
Net Controllers are asked to follow the script closely to ensure consistency for participants worldwide. Awareness of audio quality and appropriate pacing is important due to the duration and scale of the net.
The Worldwide Check-In is always looking for additional Net Controllers. If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information, please complete the form below or contact the NCO team at info@worldwidecheckin.net.
